This morning there were talks that President Trump would throw out the first pitch at the Nationals home opener next week. He later declined after a miscommunication when he thought he heard that would be able to “throw a pitch”.
Now you might not believe this but Donald Trump was quite the baseball player as a young kid. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Trump said he got scouted by the Phillies and Red Sox. Trump later goes on in the interview to describe himself as the best baseball player in New York. The best baseball player in New York. Probably the best player in the country. He won some much at baseball that he got tired of winning. However, he chose real estate instead of professional baseball because he wanted to make “real money”. It is a shame that Trump isn’t going to throw the first pitch because it would have been the best first pitch ever. No one would have thrown a first pitch like him. Just the best.
It would have been easy to compete with Obama’s first pitch.
But it would have been tough to beat George Bush’s first pitch.
