2017 MLB Season Predictions

AL East – Tampa Bay Rays

The Rays are the obvious dark horse in this division. Remember, they went to a World Series in 2008. That was a phenomenal accomplishment for a team that plays in front of 67 people each game. They do have Evan Longoria still, who is one letter off from Eva Longoria, who is a babe at 42 years young. He also has a heater of a wife, so that has to account for a couple of wins. Joe Maddon used to coach them so there is a few more wins. Tampa is hot around the summer so that will keep the bats hot. 110 Wins.

AL Central – Minnesota Twins

The Twins opened a new stadium in 2010 so this is about the time that new flash and glamour comes to forwishen. Byron Buxton was the #1 overall prospect a few years ago. You know who else was once a #1 prospect of the game? Um Mike Trout, Bryce Harper, Corey Seager, ever heard of them. Big year for Buxton. Miguel Sano is 6’4, 260. Big guys like to of home runs, ask Adam Dunn. Lastly, Joe Mauer won an MVP Award in 2009. Just something to remember. 98 Wins.

Twins

AL West – Oakland Athletics

Moneyball. 162 Wins.

NL East – Atlanta Braves

Suntrust Stadium is opening this year. Buzz must be in the air in Atlanta because the front office made power moves this offseason. They signed R.A. Dickey who won a Cy Young and is a knuckleballer. Matt Kemp once dated Rihanna. Oh, and they signed Big Sexy. 230 Wins.

NL Central – Cincinnati Reds

Ohio is a hotbed of talent these days. The Cavaliers won a NBA Championship. The Indians made it to the World Series. Ohio State is always pretty good at playing the football. Only makes sense for the Reds to follow this pattern. Joey Votto is Canadian. Billy Hamilton is crazy fast. 95 Wins.

NL West – San Diego Padres

San Diego is nice this time of year. Travis Jankowski is their starting center. Jankowski, that’s a funny name. Must be Polish because of the ending -ski. That is usually a sure tell sign of polish descent. Now Travis is definitely not a polish name. It is quite American. Just in a name you can tell a whole story. That is why living in a land of immigrants is so amazing. I don’t know Travis Jankowski at all yet I know he has European descent with American ties. 101 Wins.
