Advice for Jose Reyes, Don’t Live 2 Lives, 1 is Hard Enough

Daily News has reported that the ex-mistress of New York Mets third baseman, Jose Reyes, led a double life for years.

It looks like Jose Reyes likes to pull off a double-play off the field as well.

Reyes’ ex-girlfriend Christina Sanchez says the struggling third baseman’s on-the-field problems are due to a guilty conscience over the six-year affair he had with her and over their 7-year-old daughter Liyah, whom she says, he abandoned.

According to Sanchez, who’s suing Reyes for a significant increase in child support, she and her daughter were Reyes’ “road family” while he raised a separate family back home during his tenure with the Mets, the Miami Marlins and the Toronto Blue Jays.

“We’d go to restaurants, go to games, go shopping, that was the life I was living,” Sanchez told the Daily News, saying that she now regrets that the affair went on as long it did. “It was a double life, but I wanted him to be a father of our child.” (, Daily News)

Wow, Reyes had to listen to all that jabbering and gossip from two girls? Am I right guys? Kill me now.

No, but honestly, this guy is a real scumbag. He was arrested in October of 2015 for domestic abuse. The case was later dropped, but he was still suspended for 51 games by the MLB. Although Reyes was never prosecuted for the domestic abuse case, the allegations and hearing that he lead two separate lives with two separate women for years doesn’t help his image.

Reyes is hitting .079 this year with 0 HR and 0 RBI. Maybe he should focus a little more on the baseball field and less on living two lives off the field.
